Lopez Fit

Lopez Fit is Lopez Island’s Community Gym.  

Lopez Fit is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization formed by and for Lopez Island residents. 

We provide our community with the many benefits of health and well-being through our well equipped gym, a diversity of classes, and our enthusiastic staff and our members who inspire us all.

Our mission is to have our gym facilities available to the the entire Lopez community!  To that end, we subsidize 47% of our gym memberships by partnering with Medicare insurance-sponsored programs.  These programs allow us to extend a full membership to many seniors while accepting a reduced rate from their insurance companies.   We also offer discounted memberships (scholarships) to people with limited incomes.   In 2023, we subsidized approximately $14,400 for full Medicare memberships for seniors and another $4,300 for discounted memberships.  

 Our fundraising goals for 2024  

1. To fund our discounted and Medicare-sponsored memberships.  Your donation helps us offer discounted or fully-subsidized memberships to those in need, ensuring that everyone has access to exercise facilities and classes.
2. To upgrade some of our existing equipment, much of which was generously donated when we first opened the gym in 2014.  Keeping our gym equipped with safe and functional exercise machines, weights, and facilities is essential for creating a welcoming and effective fitness environment. Your donation helps us maintain and upgrade our aging equipment.
