The Hamlet

Our Mission

The Hamlet is a residential community in the heart of Lopez Village for people age 55 and older, offering affordable housing for Lopez residents and their loved ones in a diverse, safe and welcoming environment.

About Us

Our community consists of 14 cottages that house 18 seniors who are independent or independent with assistance (avg. age 80) and an adult family home that is staffed 24/7 with caregivers for up to eight residents (avg. age 89). By offering supportive rental housing, the Hamlet helps ensure that our beloved elders can stay in our community as long as possible. We have served almost 100 Lopezians since opening our doors in 2008.

Did you know... 

-Cottages are provided on a rental basis. Residents pay a damage deposit (half a month's rent), plus first and last month's rent, to move in. No large deposit is required. 

-Hamlet House has the ability to accept seniors on Medicaid. It also has a room approved for double occupancy so that couples can stay together. It is recommended that you add yourself to the "interest list" before it is necessary. You can always decline and remain on the list.
