The Lopez Island Grange is an important island touchstone, hosting numerous community gatherings over its lifetime, generating lifelong connections and memories for visitors and islanders alike. Built in 1903, the Grange building was originally Center School, one of four schools on the island before the district consolidated in the 1940s. The volunteer Lopez Island Grange membership and board have stewarded the building ever since, being responsible for its ongoing maintenance and offering it as a welcoming place of fellowship. Your donation will help us continue the next phase of our restoration project on our 118-year-old building, as well as contribute to upcoming operating expenses, impacted by lost revenue due to Covid. With a newly painted building and upgraded water system, our 2020-21 projects will be focused on the repair of the original fieldstone foundation, insulating the building, and upgrading to energy-efficient heat pumps.

Your generosity will help the Lopez Island Grange building become a beacon of comfort and energy efficiency, and aid in its preservation so it may continue to thrive and be enjoyed by future generations.

Lopez Island Grange is a 501 (C) 8 (fraternal organization) non-profit and donations are not tax-deductible.
