Imagine opening your fridge—and worrying about how you'll feed your family. That’s the reality many Lopezians face without the Lopez Food Share.
This Give Lopez, we’re asking for your help to restock the staples that keep our neighbors nourished and healthy.
The Lopez Food Share is a lifeline for more than 412 households who rely on it for nutritious food.
We continue to buy $30,000 from local farms/food businesses, but due to losses from the food bank system, we’re facing an additional $25,000 gap this year as we need to buy pantry staples and perishable foods in bulk—things like rice, beans, flour, oats, canned tuna, milk, eggs, and cheese. These aren’t extras. They’re the basics that build daily meals.
Your gift today helps fill this urgent gap and keep the Food Share shelves stocked for every household that counts on us.
Here’s what your donation can do:
$25 stocks 5 lbs of beans, 5 lbs of rice, and a case of milk
$50 fills a family’s pantry with staple items for a week
$100 buys in bulk—keeping costs low and shelves full
$250 provides fresh produce and proteins for multiple households
$500 stocks milk, eggs, and cheese for a full week of Food Share distribution
-
$1,000 helps feed 50+ families with essential food for an entire week.
Every gift brings us closer to a full pantry and a well-fed island. Let’s fill the shelves. Because no one should go hungry on Lopez.
