SWAP (Solid Waste Alternatives Program) was established 11 years ago to support the Lopez Solid Waste Disposal District (LSWDD) -– affectionately known as The Dump.
In 2024 SWAP issued a $44,000 check to purchase a used, but better-than-the old-one, backhoe/excavator.
The Dump now needs a new/used roll off truck. All funds raised through SWAP will go directly towards off setting expenses of the new truck, plus supporting the Recycle Dawgs and Dump sponsored community programs.
SWAP is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to providing financial and promotional support to LSWDD and waste reduction efforts across Lopez Island.
