For over 35 years, Lopez Community Land Trust has been making a tangible impact on our island community. As islanders gain access to stable, affordable housing, our island flourishes. Nearly 130 people live in LCLT homes, many own local businesses, from Isabel's Espresso and Lopez Village Cycles, to Barn Owl Bakery and Still Light Farm. Others are familiar faces at the grocery store, the school, and non-profit organizations.
This year, LCLT is completing six homes on Crayfish Way, one house on Lopez Sound Road, and exploring what is next in store.
Your support is key to ensuring that Lopez remains a community where everyone can thrive.
Join us in building a sustainable island community by making a donation today.

“In 2020 I had the gift of building my house in the Salish Way Coop. In the process I solved my problem of secure affordable housing. I also learned new skills, and I was part of building a meaningful neighborhood community.
The benefits go far beyond that, however. The true gift of stabilizing my housing has given me freedom. Freedom to run my business, freedom to build a garden, freedom to pursue a healthy lifestyle by walking to the Post Office, the gym, and my work. I feel safe and so happy in my house. I want to hug it every day.”
